To qualify for the US Open Mixed Doubles SF, Bopanna/Sutjiadi defeated Ebden/Krejcikova

Defending champion Matthew Ebden of Australia and Barbora Krejčíková of the Czech Republic, ranked fourth in the world rankings, were defeated

in a dramatic match by Indian tennis player Rohan Bopanna and his Indonesian partner Aldila Sutjiadi, propelling them into the US Open mixed doubles semifinals.

In a thrilling encounter, the eighth seed prevailed 7-6(4), 2-6, 10-7.

Even though they were behind 0–3 in the opening set, Bopanna and Sutjiadi battled back to win the tiebreak.

While they faltered in the second set, the duo managed to prevail in the match tiebreak by maintaining their composure.

In the tiebreak, they had an 8-2 lead until Ebden and Krejcikova closed the gap to 8-7. But Bopanna's two well-timed huge serves clinched the victory for our pair.
